Another of the Land Art pioneers is Richard Long, who is most famous for his walks through various landscapes such as deserts or high altitudes along a specific line or geometric shape and shown through documentation or supporting materials. Long also makes powerful sculptures and drawings with natural “raw” materials such as mud, stones, and earth. Sculptures displayed in museums or outdoor public or private locations are often created by stacking stones or boulders, designing them into geometric shapes. His drawings and text-based works refer to time as can be seen via different perspectives like the touch of a fingerprint or the duration of a day on a far-off planet.
