In addition to his acting career, American actor Woody Harrelson is also an eco-activist. In 2007, Harrelson joined environmental group Earth First! in protesting against logging industry executive Charles Hurwitz. Harrelson and fellow activists scaled the Golden Gate Bridge to hang a banner that read, “Hurwitz, aren’t ancient redwoods more precious than gold?” Harrelson also follows a raw vegan diet and was named PETA’s 2012 Sexiest Vegetarian along with Jessica Chastain.
More recently, Harrelson narrated the 2020 documentary, Kiss the Ground, which highlights regenerative agriculture and its positive impacts on the planet’s topsoil. The film draws from a variety of sources to demonstrate how regenerative agriculture can stabilize the Earth’s climate, restore lost ecosystems, and lead to abundant food growth. If you would like to learn more about soil regeneration, the film is easily accessible online at the link below.
