Summer Lee is the U.S. representative representing Pennsylvania’s 12th congressional district, which includes most of Pittsburgh. She is the first Black woman to represent Pennsylvania in Congress.

In 2024, Lee received a perfect score on the League of Conservation Voters’ National Environmental Scorecard. This score reflects her strong track record of supporting environmental justice, clean energy, and climate advocacy. Lee is an outspoken proponent of the Green New Deal, and has supported efforts to achieve 100% clean energy by 2050. She has also worked to oppose fracking, reduce pollution, and improve disaster preparedness.
