The NWF Ecoleaders program guides emerging leaders to complete projects from ideation and planning, into action/execution, followed by marketing/communications, and ultimately certification. Achieving an EcoLeader certification involves completing a number of core requirements in the process of leading a “eco” project from start to finish. Each leader must be endorsed by a professor, staff member, or mentor throughout the project or campaign and participants are supported by the program website with guides, templates, and more. Certified NWF EcoLeaders are people who have had “hands-on” experience and create measurable impact in their communities, preparing them with the skills and confidence to take the lead in other initiatives.
