When we spend roughly one-third of our life sleeping, investing in a quality mattress sounds like it would be a good investment, especially if it’s noted to be the “Best Mattress for the World”. As a Certified B Corporation that’s a part of 1% for the Planet, Avocado provides furniture, clothes, and bedding, but they are best known for their bed in-a-box mattress. Made from certified organic materials, Avocado is incredibly transparent about their farming practices and how the raw materials make it to their dedicated factory in LA.
A virtual craft show? Based in Brooklyn, NY, Uncommon Goods is a B Certified company that won the “Best for the World” title and that works to be environmentally cautious while supporting artists from all over the world and ethical wage rights. Everything on the site is handmade, and they look for artists that actively use recycled or sustainable materials. No animal fur, feathers, pearls, or real leather goods are sold on the site either. All items ship in eco-friendly packing while they give back, donating over $2.8 million to organizations like American Forest, International Rescue Committee, and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.
